2025 Los Angeles Wildfires

Dear Students, Faculty, and Stakeholders,

We hope you and your loved ones are safe and unaffected by the current wildfires. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted, and we wish for everyone’s continued safety and well-being.

We would like to inform you that IUE will remain open for classes as scheduled. We are monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates if there are any changes.

For our students, faculty, and stakeholders, please follow these guidelines to ensure your safety and compliance with your student status during this time:

  1. Follow instructions issued by state, local, or tribal officials, including any orders to shelter in place or evacuate.
  2. Share your emergency plans with IUE, including any orders to evacuate, travel plans (whether local or international), and updated contact details.
  3. Keep all necessary documents (e.g., passports, I-20 forms) in a secure location and bring them with you if evacuation is required.
  4. Continue to communicate with IUE about your emergency plans and circumstances affecting your student status.
